Ugly to Beautiful....Nov. 10-11, 2006
[Click on picture to enlarge it]Well, Forrest's first season as a Head Football Coach has come to an end. The Colts lost last night to Leeds (see above for final score). We traveled 2 hours south to Birmingham for the game. I met his parents there...and we cheered til the final buzzer. The scoreboard however was "ugly". We have a great group of seniors that will really be missed...many tears were shed after the game. This team never said die until the final buzzer. I was really proud of them last night.
The beauty came this morning after going to bed at 2am...we slept in and were lazy all day! As you can see by the pictures...God's beauty is right here in our own front yard. Our camera has a really cool feature that takes out all of one color...as seen by the "red" tree. The leaves are beautiful this time of year in Alabama. So wherever you are...stop and enjoy His beauty around you. Chances are...you won't have to search too far! :)

Bummer about the game, but all in all, it seems like Forrest has really had a great year! and made an impact on those boys AND the school/community... spring training, here we come! (just hope your good juniors dont get hurt playing basketball =))

enjoy, the lazy days. It is worthwhile skill that I am sure you two have a pretty good handle on, but being able to enjoy them fully might also keep you from losing it all together. Tell Forrest Good Job this season, take care.
